Colosseum Dental Group to acquire Mirò Dental Medical Center

Zurich – June 3, 2021 - Colosseum Dental Group ('CDG') has reached an agreement with the founder and CEO Dietrich Gallmetzer to acquire a majority stake in Mirò Dental Medical Center ('Mirò'). Mr Gallmetzer will retain a significant equity position and drive the Group's expansion together with his management team. The acquisition expands CDG's current footprint in Italy in the northeast towards the northwestern part of the country.

Mirò, headquartered in Bolzano, Italy, is a high-quality dental care provider founded by Mr Gallmetzer. Mirò has set-up successfully 19 clinics through acquisitions and selected greenfield locations over a period of more than 10 years. Its expansion is driven by a standardised clinic operations model, which supports efficient scaling while putting the patient always first. With this acquisition, CDG's presence in Italy will extend over a network of 47 directly controlled and franchise clinics across Italy. CDG Italy will now include the two brands OdontoSalute and Mirò that together will continue their expansion to pursue the objective of becoming the point of reference in the Italian dental care sector.

"We are very pleased to announce Mirò joining the Colosseum Dental Group family. Mirò, as a leading Italian dental care provider, is a perfect partner for OdontoSalute and CDG and will help us make the next step in Italy. Together with Mirò, we can offer a diversified and unique proposition to both patients and dentists and establish ourselves as a leading dental care provider in Italy. Mirò focuses on quality care and patient-centric service models, which fits our strategy perfectly. We admire the work Mr Gallmetzer and his team have done over the last years, and we look very much forward to Mirò contributing to our international collaboration within the Group", said Stefan Nilsson, CEO of Colosseum Dental Group.

Dietrich Gallmetzer, CEO and founder of Mirò, said: "I am excited for Mirò to join the European leader Colosseum Dental and cannot wait to start the collaboration. I truly believe that together we can further build Mirò and OdontoSalute into an Italian leader promoting a model that puts the patient in the centre. Both groups share the same values, and CDG's long-term vision of becoming the most admired dental care provider in Europe is unique in the dental sector. I particularly like their drive for innovation, something that I always have pursued in my clinics as well."

Andrea Ruggeri, Operating Director of OdontoSalute, added: "At OdontoSalute, we have always held Mirò in high regards for the quality-driven approach. We cannot wait to combine forces in building a true leader in the market. Our complementary footprint provides us with the opportunity to be present in the whole northern part of Italy. Furthermore, the combined size allows us to further make investments in innovation and our organisation. We want to become a point of reference in the Italian dental sector for patients and dentist, and I think with Mirò, we have the perfect partner to do exactly that."
